Recently, Nicolas had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful couple, Emma and Michael in one of Paris’s most enchanting locations, the Luxembourg Gardens. Nestled in the heart of the city, this historic garden is a perfect blend of natural beauty, art, and history—an idyllic setting for a unique engagement photoshoot in Paris.

A Picture-Perfect Location: Luxembourg Gardens

Luxembourg Gardens, or Jardin du Luxembourg as it’s known locally, is one of the most beautiful and iconic gardens in Paris. The gardens were created in the 17th century for Marie de Medici, the widow of King Henry IV, and they have been a beloved escape for Parisians and visitors alike ever since. With its manicured lawns, stunning fountains, and vibrant flower beds, the gardens offer countless opportunities for breathtaking photos. The Medici Fountain, the Luxembourg Palace, and the numerous statues scattered throughout the park create a timeless backdrop that is simply perfect for a couples photoshoot in Paris. Emma and Michael : From Manhattan with Love

Emma and Michael came to Paris from New York City and Nicolas had the pleasure of doing an engagement photoshoot for them! They recently got engaged, and what better place to celebrate than in Paris. They had never done a photoshoot before but you’d never know, they look so comfortable in their photos thanks to Nicolas’ communication skills and how he makes sure everyone feels comfortable throughout their shoots. The Photoshoot: Capturing Love in Every Frame

The photoshoot started at 9am to take advantage of the soft, golden light that filters through the trees at that time of day. The gardens were relatively quiet, which meant freedom to explore all of the most picturesque spots without the distraction of large crowds.

Our first stop was the Medici Fountain, one of the most iconic features of the Luxembourg Gardens. The fountain, with its tranquil pool and surrounding statues, provided a beautiful setting for intimate portraits – and look at that light shining in from behind! Changing poses and moving around the fountain meant that we ended up with a variety of gorgeous photos.

Next they walked towards the Luxembourg Palace itself. The grand architecture of the palace, with its stone façade and elegant windows, provided a stunning contrast to the soft greenery of the garden. Here, Emma and Michael posed against the fence, along the famous fountain and on the iconic green park chairs that Paris is known for. Nicolas encouraged them to relax and enjoy the moment, resulting in a series of natural, effortless photos that truly capture their personalities and their love for each other.

Finally, the shoot moved to the tree-lined paths that crisscross the gardens. The long, straight avenues of trees create a natural frame that draws the eye to the couple and then the photoshoot ended at the large fences that border the park.
