A Parisian Autumn with Chloe
There’s something magical about Paris in the fall. The golden light and quiet streets can feel effortlessly stylish against the city’s timeless backdrops. For Chloe’s photoshoot, we wandered through one of Paris’s most charming neighborhoods, where cobblestone streets wind between soft, cream-colored façades and ivy climbs the stone walls.
Chloe brought an understated elegance to the session with her classic look: a cozy turtleneck sweater paired with flowing ivory trousers, a combination that perfectly balanced structure and softness.
Throughout the shoot, Chloe moved with a quiet confidence that made every frame feel authentic. Her natural warmth and ease in front of the camera made it a joy to capture her in these peaceful city moments!
After the session, Chloe shared a bit more about her experience and what inspired her to document this time in Paris.

Please introduce yourself to the readers. What do you do?
Bonjour, my name is Chloe Legras. I am the founder and principal designer of Boxwood Avenue. I believe in redefining luxury and slowing down and appreciating the luxury of simplicity.
My company, Boxwood Avenue, is a multifaceted business: an interior design firm, online storefront for curated home goods, and blog. I also host antiquing and shopping trips throughout Europe for those who love slow travel and…antiques!
Within Boxwood Avenue, we create spaces and experiences that celebrate meaningful living, old-world traditions, and the joy found in simple moments. My goal is to inspire people to slow down and live more meaningfully!
What inspired you to get into interior design?
I have always been drawn to creating spaces that feel layered and curated. My love for design began with my own home, and with the encouragement of some friends, I started offering services for clients. Boxwood Avenue Interiors became the perfect way to combine the things I love: telling stories through a home, layering in history and character (through antiques!), and creating places for experiencing the beauty of life!

How did you end up in Paris?
France has always been part of my heritage. My father’s side of the family is from the French Alps, and I grew up learning old family recipes, sewing, and appreciating life the French way. Over time, I began spending more time in France to host design retreats, source antiques, and connect with local artisans. Each visit deepened my love for the French way of living, the architecture, the history, and the sense of beauty in everyday life. Eventually…I couldn’t resist and made Paris my home.
What do you like the most about French culture?
I love how the French embrace beauty in the details and honor traditions in a way that feels natural and effortless – and a little proud. There is a sense of pride in craftsmanship and an appreciation for the slower rhythm of life. Whether in the details of a home, setting the table, or marble statues dotting the parks, I am inspired by their attention to detail, their respect for history, and the way they make life feel intentional and meaningful.

What tips would you give to someone who wants to move abroad or spend a long period of time in a foreign country?
This might be a bit crass but: hire someone. The money invested in working with someone to help you navigate the paperwork is well worth the saved stress of trying to do it on your own. Stay open and don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone meeting new people by joining clubs and going to events. The people who are meant for you, will find you.
Tell us a little about your retreats.
Boxwood Avenue Abroad is a way for me to share my love of Europe, antiques, design, and slow living with others. I went on one years ago, and it changed my life, and inspired me to start my own!
Simply put, Boxwood Abroad retreats are luxury experiences all throughout Europe that allow people to truly experience the European way of life. Each trip is carefully curated to uncover the essence of each location and to connect travelers with local artisans and experts. We explore historic villages, charming shops, visit the best antique warehouses, share in culinary experiences, and get access to behind-the-scenes workshops that are otherwise inaccessible. These experiences are about more than sightseeing. They are about creating meaningful memories, fostering connections, and discovering the transformative beauty of Europe. My goal is to share the magic I felt during my own journeys and inspire others to experience life in a slower, more intentional way.
What was your photoshoot experience like with Your Paris Photographer?
It was wonderful! I loved being able to capture the memories and sights in such an immersive way – all with expert guidance! The session felt relaxed and natural, and they captured not just the surroundings but the feeling of the moment. The light, the charm, and the elegance of Paris came through beautifully. It was a reflection of how I approach design and life: thoughtfully, meaningfully, and with an appreciation for the small moments that make life extraordinary!
